For example, I have researched into ideas that will both look good on paper & on screen. I have looked at Sci-Fi TV shows, films, clips, Youtube videos and anything that rips off sci-fi programs such as Family Guy & Futurama.
My first initial idea was to take a whole load of ideas from Futurama because I am already a huge fan of the show and I know that they take stereotypical ideas which are used in sci-fi films/TV & make it funny. They also use similar ideas in Family Guy also. In one particular episode, they rip off the Star Wars story-line and pay homage to it using the Family Guy characters & incorporating an element of comedy wherever they can use it.
Next week I hope to develop a more keen understanding in Motion as to what I can use to great effect with each visual effect we are developing for the Forbidden Planet Musical.
I also hope to come up with some ideas that I can actually put to paper (& also with photoshop or illustrator)
I put this picture in because I found it funny.. & it shows what people can do with shows like Futurama.
I will actually try & attempt to do something like this that will hopefully demonstrate my own creativity.
In the coming weeks, I will also try to come up with some sketches of what I plan to design that will form my own storyboard for the musicals visual content.
I'll also be using Motion to create some quite stunning effects like motion tracking, 3D cameras, keyframe editing & audio behaviours. I also found out this is how to make a cool lightsaber effect. This is one of the only reasons I like Star Wars (obviously) and I'll be wanting to attempt something like this in the near future (hopefully)
These are 2 videos that show you how they are made, 1 of them is a Youtube phenomenon. (Guess which one?)
